NOC Letter from Husband to Wife for a Job in the UAE: Sample to Adapt
The NOC letter from husband to wife for job applications is a short signed statement in which a husband who sponsors his wife's UAE residence says he has no objection to her taking a particular job. New employers and some free zones ask for it.

Come to our office. The notary public checks the husband's original ID, reads the letter, watches him sign and applies the seal. We order the Arabic translation with a legal translator.

Replace every square bracket and delete what does not apply. If the employer or authority gives you its own form, use their form instead.

No objection certificate from husband to wife to work: what makes it acceptable
Check each point before the husband signs:
- The employer's full legal name, as on its trade licence, not a brand name.
- The job title matching the offer letter.
- Both Emirates ID numbers in full. The husband's must be current.
- A start date, or "from the date of joining".
NOC letter for wife to work: when a notary is needed
Many employers accept the letter signed by the husband with copies of his ID. A notary's seal is needed when:
- the employer or free zone asks for a notarised NOC,
- the husband is abroad and signs there, so the UAE office wants proof of who signed,
- the letter is going to an embassy.
If the employer only wants proof of the husband's signature, a witnessed signature does the job. The notary confirms the husband's original ID and that he is signing freely (Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022, Article 7). In Dubai the English text is paired with an Arabic translation (Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013, Article 27), which we take care of.

NOC letter from husband to wife for tourist visa
Some embassies ask a married woman applying for a tourist visa to show her husband's consent or his sponsorship documents. This version replaces the job paragraphs:
Check the embassy's checklist. Some want it on the embassy's own form.
I have no objection to my wife travelling to [country] for tourism from [date] to [date]. I am her sponsor in the United Arab Emirates, and her residence visa remains valid for her return. [I will cover the costs of her trip. / She will cover the costs of her trip from her own funds.]

Frequently asked questions
Does the NOC for wife to work in UAE need to be on letterhead?
No. A husband writes it as an individual, so plain paper is normal. A company NOC is different: see our sponsor NOC sample.
Can the wife sign the letter for the husband?
No. The letter is his statement and he must sign it.
Is the same letter enough for a second job?
Usually not. The letter names one employer and one role.
