Online notary public

If a relative is frail, hard of hearing or on strong medication, we tell the notary in advance. The notary must be satisfied that the person understands what they sign.

You receive the date, the time, the price and the list of originals to have on the table.
What the notary checks in your home
Article 7 of the federal notary law lists the checks: identity from an official document, the signer's capacity, their free consent, and a reading of the text with an explanation of its effects. Where the signer speaks a language the notary does not, Article 8 requires an interpreter listed on the Ministry's register.
If the notary is not satisfied that the person understands, the document is not sealed.

Under the federal schedule the outside-office charge is AED 200 per application (item 16) for signers who are disabled or too unwell to attend. The notary who attends decides which fee system is used. See the notary fees.

Frequently asked questions
Can my mother sign at home if she cannot read English?
Yes. The text is read to her and its effect explained before she signs, and an interpreter is used where the notary does not speak her language. We can also prepare an Arabic translation of the text before the visit.
Does the notary come to villas and apartments in all areas of Dubai?

Can I sign for my father because he is too tired?
No. Each person named as a signer must sign personally before the notary. If your father cannot sign at all, tell us before booking so we can explain what the notary will accept.
Is a document signed at home weaker than one signed at an office?
No. The seal, the notary's checks and the record are the same. The place of signing does not change the legal effect.
