Legal Notice in Dubai: We Draft It and Our Notary Public Seals It

A legal notice in Dubai is a written message to another person or company. It states a problem, says what you want done and gives a date. It is delivered through a notary public, so the notice carries a notary's seal.

We write the notice with you and check every name and figure. We have in-house, in person notary public services, online notary public services and home visit private notary services.

In short

  • Price: drafting and notarising from AED 2,000. Government fees are paid on top at cost.
  • Who signs: the person sending the notice, or a company signatory with authority.
  • What to bring: original Emirates ID or passport, the contract or proof of the dispute, and the other side's full name and address.
  • Where: in person, at your home or office, or online.
  • Next step: send us the facts on WhatsApp and we send back a draft.

Three ways to get it notarised

In person with our in-house notary public

The notary public checks your original ID, reads the notice, watches you sign and applies the seal. We prepare the text first, so the signing itself is short.

Home or office visit

We come to your home, hospital or office. Price on request, plus the Dubai private notary government fee of AED 1,000 per trip outside the place of work.

Online

UAE law lets a notary use IT tools in place of personal appearance (Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022, Article 18). Remote notarisation runs through the official UAE channels. See our e-notary guide.

What a good notice contains

  1. Who is writing and who receives it. Full names as on the passport or trade licence, and the address where the other side can be reached.
  2. The facts, in date order. What was agreed, what happened and when.
  3. What you want. One clear request, for example "pay AED (amount) by (date)".
  4. A deadline. A date you choose, written as a date, not as "soon".
  5. What happens next. A plain sentence that you may take the matter further if the request is not met.

Keep the tone calm. A notice that sticks to facts is easier for the other side to answer, and for a lawyer or a court to read later.

Mistakes to avoid

Mistakes that cause trouble

  • A wrong name or address. The other side's name should match the contract or licence.
  • Several demands in one notice. Split them so each can be answered.
  • Anger or threats. They add nothing and can hurt you later.
  • Missing papers. Keep a copy of the contract and proof of what you say.
  • Not reading it again before signing. The notary reads it with you. Ask us about any line you do not understand.

The notary public must decline a document in some cases set out in Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013, Article 24. If the notary cannot proceed, we tell you why and what to change.

Step by step

How it works

1

Send us the contract, the facts and the other side's details on WhatsApp.

2

We draft the notice and the Arabic version, and you check every line.

3

We confirm the signing: at the office, at your address or online.

4

The notary public checks the original ID of each signer, reads the notice, watches you sign and applies the seal.

Court representation is for a lawyer licensed in the UAE. If you need one, we say so before you pay.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does a legal notice cost in Dubai?

Our drafting and notarising starts from AED 2,000. Government fees are paid on top at cost, and we confirm the final price before you pay.

Can I send a legal notice online?

Yes, where the notary uses the official UAE remote channels. Tell us you want to sign online and we explain what the notary needs from you.

Will a legal notice make the other side pay?

No. It puts your request in writing with a notary's seal. What the other side does next is up to them, and we cannot promise an outcome.

Do I need a lawyer to send a legal notice?

Not to have it drafted and notarised with us. If you expect court action, a lawyer licensed in the UAE can advise you on that step.

What if the other side lives abroad?

Send us the details you have. We tell you what we can and cannot do for that address at the start, before you pay.
