Three ways to get it notarised
In person with our in-house notary public
The notary public checks the owner's original ID, reads the document, watches you sign and applies the seal. We prepare the English text and the Arabic version first.
Home or hospital visit
We come to your home, hospital or office. Price on request, plus the Dubai private notary government fee of AED 1,000 per trip outside the place of work.
Online
UAE law lets a notary use IT tools in place of personal appearance (Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022, Article 18). See our e-notary guide.
What a management power can cover
Management is the everyday running of a property. Under UAE civil law, a power in broad words is limited to management and preservation acts (Federal Decree-Law No. 25 of 2025, Article 871). That makes it a good fit for a rental.
Write the tasks you want in plain words.
- Tenants: find tenants, sign or renew a tenancy contract, and end one.
- Rent: collect it, give receipts and pay it into your account.
- Repairs: arrange maintenance and pay for it from the rent or from your funds.
- Bills: deal with service charges and utilities for the unit.
- Paperwork: submit tenancy papers to the competent authority, where needed.
What it does not cover
Selling or giving away a property is not management. That needs a special agency that names the sale (Article 870). Use our power of attorney to sell property for that.
The notary attests your signature. The notary does not register property rights (Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013, Article 21). Ask the property authority what it wants to see.

Mistakes to avoid
Mistakes that get it refused
- No unit or building details. Give the unit, building and area.
- A vague task list. Write each task.
- Names that differ from the passport.
- No money limits. Set a limit for repairs without your approval, if you want one.
- No end date. The law sets no fixed term. The document's own term applies (Article 897).
Step by step
How it works
1
Send us the property details and the agent's details.
2
We draft the text and the Arabic version, and you check it.
3
You sign before the notary public with original ID.
4
Give the sealed document to your agent.
If you live abroad, you sign before a notary in your country. The document then needs MOFAIC attestation in the UAE.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a power of attorney to manage a rental from abroad?
If someone else will sign tenancy papers and deal with the authorities for you, they need written authority. A power of attorney gives it. Ask the office what it accepts.
Can the agent sell my property with this document?
No, unless you write the sale in. A sale needs a special agency (Article 870). We recommend a separate document.
Can I cancel it?
Yes. The principal can revoke the agency (Article 898). The Dubai Land Department publishes a free revocation service for a power of attorney registered with it.
Does the agent need to attend the signing?
Usually not. The owner signs with original ID. We tell you if the receiving office wants more.
