Will Format UAE: What a Will Must Name Before You Sign
A will format in the UAE is the order and wording of your will: who you are, what you own, who receives it and who carries it out. We have in-house, in person notary public services, online notary public services and home visit private notary services for the signing.
The will format UAE notaries expect matters less than the details inside it. A will that names the wrong person or leaves out an asset causes problems later.
Call or WhatsApp +971 52 947 5935 and tell us what your will must cover.
In short
- Price: will drafting and notarisation is price on request. Drafting or typing starts from AED 200 as an add-on.
- Who signs: you, the person making the will, with your original ID.
- What to bring: your ID, a list of assets and the full names of the people you name.
- Where: with our in-house notary public, at your home or hospital, or online where the channel allows it.
- Next step: send us the facts and we tell you what the will must name.

Will Format UAE: The Parts a Will Must Name
We do not give a copy-and-sign will. A will copied from the internet often names the wrong things for your situation. These are the parts our drafting covers:
You
Your full name as in your passport, your nationality and your Emirates ID or passport number.
Your assets
Property, bank accounts, vehicles, shares and anything else you want to deal with, each described clearly enough to be found.
Who receives what
Full names of each person, and what each one receives.
Who carries it out
The person you name to carry out your wishes.
Guardians
If you have children under 18, who you want to care for them.
Language
A will in a foreign language needs an Arabic translation by a certified translator for the Dubai notary route, with both versions signed. Legal translation is from AED 50 per page.
Our page on will registration in Dubai for non-Muslims covers where a will is registered. Which court or notary office applies depends on where you live and where your assets are. If your matter sits with DIFC Courts, it has its own notary service.

Will Format UAE Requirements for the Signing
Notarial acts in the UAE are regulated by Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022. In Dubai, notaries public are regulated by Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013. At the signing, the notary public checks your original ID, reads the document, watches you sign and applies the seal.
Do not sign before the appointment. A will signed in advance has to be signed again in front of the notary public.
