Notary Public Affidavit in Dubai: How to Get One Signed
A notary public affidavit is a written statement of facts that you sign before a notary public, so that an office, embassy or court can rely on it. We draft your affidavit, check it and have it signed before our in-house notary public.
We have in-house, in person notary public services, online notary public services and home visit private notary services for affidavits.
In short

- Who signs: you, the person making the statement.
- Bring: your original ID and the facts the affidavit will state.
- Where: in person, at your home or hospital, or online.
- Next step: WhatsApp us the purpose and the office that will receive it.

What a notary affidavit is and who needs one
A notary affidavit is your own statement, in your own words, that you confirm is true. The notary public does not decide whether the facts are right. The notary public checks who you are, reads the document and records that you signed it.
People ask for an affidavit for many reasons:
- a name that is written two ways on different documents
- a statement that two names belong to one person
- a statement of marital or family status
- a sponsor's undertaking, called an affidavit of support
- a declaration for a bank, school or embassy
For other wording, see our page on declaration letters in the UAE.
What does notary attestation mean here?
Notary attestation means the notary public confirms your signature and identity on the document. It does not mean an embassy or ministry has checked the contents. If the affidavit goes to another country, it may need the MOFAIC attestation after the notary step. MOFAIC charges AED 150 for personal documents, and we take care of the MOFAIC attestation for you. The country that receives the document decides what else it needs.
