Meaning Consent Letter in Plain Words
The meaning consent letter people look up comes down to one idea. A consent letter records that you agree to something. The person who receives the letter, such as a school, an airline or an office, can see that you said yes in writing.
A consent letter is not the same as a power of attorney. A power of attorney gives someone the right to act for you in a legal matter. A consent letter only records your agreement to one thing. For a wider authority, read about letters for everyday family tasks.
A letter has four parts:
Who is giving consent, with the full name and ID details.
Who or what the consent is for.
What exactly you agree to, and for how long if you want a limit.
The date and your signature.
How to Write Consent Letter for School
A school consent letter is often a short note. Write the child's full name, the school, the activity or trip, and the date. Say plainly what you allow and sign it. If the school gives its own form, use that form first.

How to Write a Consent Letter to Teacher
Address it to the teacher by title, give the child's name and class, and state the single thing you agree to. Keep it to a few lines. A school letter does not normally need a notary public, because the school decides what it accepts.

Meaning Consent Letter in Practice: When a Notary Public Is Needed
Some bodies ask for a signed and notarised letter. Common cases are child travel, a visa file or a letter that a bank or office will rely on. Acceptance is decided by the body that receives the letter, so ask them first.

Three Ways to Get It Notarised
Notarial acts in the UAE are regulated by Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022. In Dubai, notaries public are regulated by Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013.
In person
You sign with our in-house notary public. The notary public checks each signer's original ID, reads the document, watches you sign and applies the seal.
Home or hospital visit
We come to your home, hospital, office or hotel, in all areas of Dubai.
Online
Online notary public services run through the official UAE channels: the Ministry of Justice E-Notary System or Dubai Courts remote signing. We tell you whether your letter suits that route.
What to Bring

A document in a foreign language needs an Arabic translation by a certified translator, with both versions signed (Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013, Article 27). We translate it with a legal translator.
