A home or hospital visit adds the Dubai private notary trip fee of AED 1,000 per trip, and we include it in the quote before you book. Our service prices are starting prices. The government fee is separate and is charged exactly as the authority sets it. ### Notarised is not the same as attested * **Notarisation** confirms who signed and that they signed willingly. It happens at the signing. * **MOFAIC attestation** is a later step, usually needed when a UAE document will be used in another country. * **Embassy attestation** may then be needed by the country where the document will be used. The UAE is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, so a document signed in Dubai does not get an apostille. Tick off this list before the notary comes to your home, office, hotel room or hospital ward. A consent letter and an affidavit are drafted differently. 2 ### Fill every bracket Names in the same spelling and order as the passport, and passport and Emirates ID numbers in full. 3 ### Leave the signature blank You sign in front of the notary. A letter signed at home in advance has to be printed again. 4 ### Check the language In Dubai, an English text is signed with an Arabic translation by a certified translator beside it. 5 ### Choose where to sign At home, in hospital or at the notary's office, or send it to us to check first. Most refusals come from small slips: a name order that does not match the passport, open dates such as "travel in the summer", or the wrong person signing. The Dubai Courts notary public is the government notary, and a private notary is a lawyer Dubai Courts has licensed and placed on its notary roll. A Dubai private notary charges AED 1,000 per trip outside the place of work, set by Dubai Courts, on top of our service price. We quote the full cost before booking. ### Can a patient sign a document in hospital? Yes, if the hospital allows the visit and the notary is satisfied the patient understands the document and agrees to it. The notary decides this at the bedside. ### Can I just walk in for a signing? No. The notary's time is booked for your document and your address, so every signing has an appointment.
