The government fee is fixed by law: for example AED 100 per party for a power of attorney, AED 200 per party to authenticate a signature, and AED 300 for an affidavit. On top of that sits the service price for preparing the document and the signing. The government fee This is what the law says the notarial act costs. It is the same whichever provider you use. We pass it on at cost, exactly as the authority charges it. ### 2. The service price This covers the work around the notarial act: finding out what the receiving office wants, drafting, translation, your appointment, and a home visit if you want one. This is where providers differ, and where you should ask for a written quote. We have in-house, in person notary public services, online notary public services and home visit notary services. Prices ## Government notary fees: the federal schedule These are from the table annexed to [Cabinet Resolution No. 19 of 2024](https://uaelegislation.gov.ae/en/legislations/2491), in force since 16 March 2024. So a power of attorney signed before a private notary on the federal schedule costs AED 130 per party in government and notary fees. ## Dubai private notary fees Private notaries in Dubai follow a separate Dubai Courts decision on private notary fees, [announced by the Dubai Media Office in December 2025](https://mediaoffice.ae/en/news/2025/december/29-12/dubai-courts-is-preparing-to-implement-the-decision-regulating-the-fees-of-the-private-notary-public) and in force from 2 January 2026. These private notary charges sit alongside the public notary fees above. The figures published for it include: * AED 100 per party for registration, * AED 100 per signature, * AED 1,000 per trip outside the place of work. That last figure is the one families notice.
