## Three ways to get it notarised

The notary public checks each signer's original ID, reads the contract, watches every party sign and applies the seal. Suits parties who can come to the same place.

### Home or office visit

We bring the notary public to your office, home or hospital. ### Online

A private notary cannot handle real property rights or matters reserved to another authority ([Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013](https://dlp.dubai.gov.ae/Legislation%20Reference/2013/Law%20No.%20(4%29%20of%202013%20Concerning%20Notaries%20Public%20in%20the%20Emirate%20of%20Dubai.html), Article 21). If your deal is about land or a building, ask us before you book.

## What the notary checks, and what it does not

The notary public checks each signer's identity, capacity and consent, reads the contract and seals it (Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022, Article 7). The seal records who signed and that they signed freely.

It does not change what the contract says. Read the terms yourself, and have the clauses you are unsure about checked by a lawyer before you sign.

## Documents to bring

A Dubai notary expects an Arabic text alongside an English contract (Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013, Article 27). We translate it with a legal translator.

* The final contract, complete, with no blank lines left to fill in by hand.
* Original Emirates ID or passport of every person who signs.
* The trade licence of each company party.

* A name in the contract that differs from the name on the ID or licence.
* A signer who has no authority for the company in the memorandum or a resolution.
* One party missing on the day.
* Changes written on the contract after the notary has read it.
* No Arabic text ready.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I notarize a contract online in Dubai?

Yes, where the notary and the receiving office accept it. UAE law lets a notary use IT tools in place of personal appearance (Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022, Article 18). Tell us the contract and we say which channel fits.

### Do all parties have to sign before the notary?

Each party signs, or a person with a power of attorney signs for that party. If the parties cannot meet in one place, call or WhatsApp us and we tell you the options.

### Is the contract in Arabic or English?

Either can be signed, but a Dubai notary expects an Arabic text alongside an English one. We order the translation.

### Does notarising a contract make it fair or complete?

No. The notary checks identity, capacity and consent. The terms are for the parties and their lawyers.

### Can you notarise a sale contract for a property?
