# Company Power of Attorney Dubai: Template for Small and Family Businesses

A company power of attorney Dubai businesses use lets the company, through its manager or owner, appoint a person to deal with named matters: the trade licence, staff visas, a lease or a government office. This template suits small and family businesses. Copy the wording below.

## Three ways to get it notarised

The notary public checks the signatory's original ID, capacity and consent, reads the document, watches the signatory sign and applies the seal.

Home or office visit

We come to your office. Price on request, plus the Dubai private notary government fee of AED 1,000 per trip outside the place of work.

## Business POA in Dubai: what it is usually for

* Renewing the trade licence.
* Staff visas and labour cards.
* The office or warehouse lease.
* A company bank account, if the bank accepts it.
* Collecting goods, mail and cheques for the company.

Acts beyond management, such as selling an asset or settling a dispute, need a special agency that names them ([Federal Decree-Law No. 25 of 2025, Article 870](https://uaelegislation.gov.ae/en/legislations/4011)).

## Business power of attorney in Dubai: checks before signing

* **Company name and trade licence details** copied from the current licence.
* **The signatory's authority** matches the MOA or resolution. If two partners must sign together, both sign.
* **The licensing authority** is named correctly. Mainland and free zone offices differ.
* **The limits clause** says what the agent may not do.
* **The end date** is set. The law sets no fixed term.

## How signing works

A Dubai notary expects an Arabic text alongside ([Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013, Article 27](https://dlp.dubai.gov.ae/Legislation%20Reference/2013/Law%20No.%20(4%29%20of%202013%20Concerning%20Notaries%20Public%20in%20the%20Emirate%20of%20Dubai.html)). We order it.

We check the powers against the licence and order the translation.

We book your appointment. The signatory brings the originals and the company stamp.

The notary checks the signatory's ID, capacity and consent and seals the POA (Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022, Article 7).

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I, as the only owner, give myself a company POA?

There is no need. As owner and manager you act for the company already.

### Does a free zone company use the same template?

The structure is the same, but the free zone authority may have its own form or wording. Ask them first.

### Can a company POA be signed by scan?

No. The signatory signs before a notary, in person or online.

### How do we cancel a company POA?

The company revokes it in writing, signed by an authorised signatory, and tells the agent and every office holding a copy (Article 898).
